One of the locations where tree trunks used to be bound into rafts and floated down the Vltava River to Prague. The painting of the Vysebrodska Madonna in the Marian Chapel is a very precious piece of art. This town is proud of its library with 70 000 rare prints and books, a picture gallery and a paradise garden.
