Vimperk (CZ) first records of the castle are from 1263. The town was among the first ones in the Czech lands to have a printing shop. Vimperk gained fame for its glass indurstry. First glass works date back to the 14th century. Vimperk is a suitable starting point for exploring the Sumava Mountains.
